Winnipeg Birth and Covid : How Your Birth Photographer + Doula is keeping you safe

It feels a lot like we’re “on the other side” of Covid right now, but many families are still expressing concern over their risk factors. I wanted to share today the steps that I take as your Winnipeg birth photographer and doula to keep all of us safe.

At the current time Jenine

• Is fully vaccinated for both Covid and all other routine vaccinations other than the seasonal flu

• Continues to follow handwashing and sanitizing procedures before visits or entering your birth room

• Will typically wear gloves as needed when handling your newborn

• Is happy to wear all required PPE when attending your birth

• Has additional training in proper PPE usage and Infection Control through Dynacare

• Continually self monitors for symptoms and tests as needed

• Will wear a mask at all postpartum visits or photography sessions where baby is present

• Will wear mask as requested during prenatal visits

• Will follow any additional safety precautions your family requests

Of your family I ask the following

• Masks are not required at home visits, but may be worn if more comfortable

• You agree to keep me informed of any symptoms, known covid exposure or positive tests

• You consider both my family and the other families I work with, and agree to switch to virtual visits or reschedule anytime cold or flu symptoms are present
