Fresh Look At Winnipeg Birth!

Hello hello! New year new look! If you haven’t noticed, we’ve gone through a rebrand around here. While I still loved my initial idea behind Embrace Birth, I am loving the simplicity with Winnipeg Birth and the new colours and logo are right up my alley.

I visited the mountains for the first time just a few years back. It was just after covid hit, life turned upside down. Everything felt a little scary and different than what I expected the year to look like. I felt a little like I was floundering and aimless.

We had the vacation booked and so we decided to go anyways and make the best of it- if you have to social distance, you might as well do it in the forest!  It ended up being one of the most powerful weeks of my life. I’ve always loved camping, but being in the mountains in Banff brought a whole new perspective. I felt for the first time in months like I could take a deep breath and release all the tension I’d been carrying with me. I felt like I could live just in the moment, in what I was experiencing at that very second, and not try to anticipate and juggle everything around me. I was allowed to just be. To breathe. To enjoy.

When it came time to design a new logo for the business, I wanted something that encompassed that feeling. For me, trees represent memories- camping, hiking in those woods and mountains, breathing deep and putting my face to the sun. Chances to let the weight of the world melt away while I grab moments that will carry me through.

Looking at the logo now, I’m taken back to that same feeling I have unplugged in the woods, and just like Embrace was at the time- that’s the feeling I want to bring into your births- a freedom, a lightness, a peace. A knowledge that things will unfold exactly as they are meant to. I want to help you soak up every moment of those feelings.

Along with the new name and logo, you’ll also notice some changes in offerings- I have decided not to offer a doula only package anymore. I have seen time and time again how important photography is when reflecting on your birth, and I want to make sure that each of my clients has those memories captured.

And if you noticed, we’ll be adding an extra exciting new offering later this spring, so stay tuned :)
